Aloha! Please accept my deepest sympathies. Francis and I attended Kainalu Elementary School before heading on to Kamehameha. I remember him having a great sense of humor and being quite witty. With Francis around, you didn’t worry about being bored because he was an entertainment package all by himself. I believe I watched him really blossom in high school when he joined the debate team. Watching him in action made me proud as a Hawaiian, a friend, and a classmate because his communica-tion skills were definitely being honed. It was sad to hear of his passing but I am grateful to have been a part of his remarkable life, witnessed by the numerous lives that he has touched as witnessed by the influx of e-mails.

Thank you for allowing me to celebrate in Francis’ memorial service. I was deeply touched by the words and comments about Francis. He will be missed by his class mates.
